Rendezvous new album soon to be released
New music is always a pleasure to discover and it was a real treat for me to hear Rendezvous for the first time.
Rendezvous are a two man’s band consisting of Simon and Izenberg, two talented musicians/producers working together for more than a few years now.
They first met while studying music and have been performing together since then.
Their work could be cataloged as instrumental and experimental, bringing together both analogue sounds and ideas to this electronic contemporary world.
On 2004 they published their first EP, a live in the studio recordings which was recorded while they were still studying music with two other players, while playing on various grooves, every take was a journey within itself ending up differently each and every other time.
The EP was a success and immediately afterwards they began working on their first full length debut album, a project that took about 4 years to achieve.
The project is now in the hands of highly appreciated mixer and producer Dave Bascombe (Erasure, Depeche Mode) which is now mixing the new album in London.

Awesome UFC Knockouts That Worth Revisiting
Rich Franklin took out Nate Quarry in UFC 56. This was the main event held on 19 November, 2005 in the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. Rich Franklin was defending his middleweight title against Nate Quarry and he quickly overwhelmed him with the speed of his hands. Franklin had already knocked down Quarry and waited for the referee to call the fight when Quarry returned to continue. It was at that point that Franklin executed a left hook on Quarry’s nose thus knocking the fighter out.
Keith Jardine gets knocked out after taking a series of knee and fist strikes in UFC 71. Keith Jardine thought he was ready for a chance at a title when he came in to fight Houston Alexander. In fact, Jardine thought that fighting Houston was an insignificant stepping stone in the journey for a title match but Houston showed him otherwise. Houston used his knee and then a series of punches to Jardine’s head to execute the knockout but what is surprising is that it took a full two minutes to do this.
Pedro Rizzo made one of the most spectacular knockouts in UFC history. This took place in UFC 30 versus Josh Barnett at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, USA, on 23 February 2001. What is memorable about this knockout is that Rizzo is the only fighter to have knocked out Barnett. Barnett had been in 29 MMA video fights up to that point without a single knockout. Barnett would do the same to Rizzo in the UFC event Affliction Banned on 19 July 2008.
Gabriel Gonzaga made an unlikely knockout in UFC 70. UFC 70 was the second time an event would be held in the United Kingdom. The Croatian Mirko Cro Cop Flipovic was the favorite to win in this fight but suffered a massive head kick from Gonzaga. Flipovic ended up with a concussion and because of his fall, an injured knee.
